Decision Recruitment Case Study

Decision Recruitment is a specialist recruitment service for organisations within the social housing sector, such as Local Authorities and Housing Associations. They employ staff into key roles, for example Housing Managers, Resettlement Officers and Homeless Persons Officers. The business needed to raise £65,000 in order to build its operations and realise its marketing strategy.

Decision Recruitment's key aim was to assemble a team of recruitment consultants with knowledge and expertise specific to the social housing sector. This required a significant outlay in terms of strategic planning and recruitment costs, as the business needed to locate and recruit from a very limited pool of suitable staff. The business also needed funds to establish its operations within the West Midlands and to create its recruitment systems and IT infrastructure. Beyond this, working capital was required to launch a targeted marketing campaign that would raise the new company's profile.

VC Consulting assisted Decision Recruitment in this, by developing a detailed business plan, including financial projections and an outline strategy of how the business would develop, an assessment of the market feasibility and an outline of the company's key skills. The result was that Decision Recruitment was able to raise all the necessary funding required to develop the business at favourable terms.
