IRIS Case Study

IRIS Consulting (IRIS) is a multi-disciplinary management consultancy firm, specialising in public sector organisations. They have specific expertise in areas such as 'Modernising government', 'Publci Sector Reform', 'Diversity Issues' and 'Organisational Development'.

As part of their work within the health sector, IRIS developed a series of seminars, targeted at the NHS and designed to help them reduce staff sickness and absenteeism. The company called upon VC Consulting to help design, market, and implement a seminar, targeting HR Directors, Consultants, Ward Managers, Senior Nursing staff and Administrators.

In order to promote the seminars, VC Consulting project managed an extensive marketing process. This initially involved creating a database of key targets and then developing a CRM system to handle prospects and move them along a prescribed sales channel. We developed all the necessary marketing literature, focusing on issues pertinent to IRIS's target market. This approach enabled us to gain interest from a large number of health service professionals, with the available seminar places all being taken.

The result of our work with IRIS was that they vastly increased their contacts within the NHS and wider health sector, allowing them to gain new contracts and expand that element of their business.
